The Department of General Services (DGS), Fleet Management Unit has the responsibility for managing the Departments motor vehicles. The Fleet Management Unit is required to ensure compliance with State vehicle policies and procedures promulgated by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

The purpose of this directive is to set forth policies and procedures governing the effective and economical use of DGS vehicles. DGS employees who operate State vehicles shall adhere to the following policies and procedures regarding the use and operation of State vehicles.
