DGS Spring Recycling Competition

The Department of General Services is committed to making Governor Martin O’Malley’s vision of "a cleaner, greener and more sustainable future for the people of Maryland" a reality. Waste reduction and recycling are a critical component.

That is why I joined Governor O'Malley in Annapolis Monday April 2, 2012 to kick-off a competition among DGS managed buildings to improve recycling rates.

This interactive web page was created to report results, improve data management and transparency, and encourage the involvement of competition participants.

We can’t manage what we don’t measure, and this is just one step in a continuous process of improving our environmental footprint.

For more information about the DGS Recycling Competition, contact Anne Jackson, Sustainability Officer, at 410-767-4618.
